Last night at Burlington’s Higher Ground the current touring incarnation of the Rhythm Devils made its debut. Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann were joined by Mike Gordon, Steve Kimock, Sikiru Adepoju, Glenys Rogers, Bobi Cespedes and Atom Smith. The group debuted some new material with lyrics from Robert Hunter, including ‘Fountains of Wood,’ ‘The Center’ and ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ Rogers and Cespedes shared most of the vocal duties although Gordon sang lead on a cover of Los Lobos’ ‘Revolution’ during set one and a version of ‘The Other One’ during the second set. The Rhythm Devils return to Higher Ground this evening.
