The next place you might hear the North Mississippi Allstars is in the movies. The trio has recently recorded material for no less than three feature films: Barnyard, Hood of Horrors (produced by Snoop Dogg) and Black Snake Moan (directed by Craig Brewer, whose Hustle & Flows garnered an Academy Award for Three 6 Mafias and ‘It’s Hard to be a Pimp’). In other news, the Allstars also have confirmed that they will back family patriarch Jim Dickinson at New Yorks Joes Pub on June 4. Tonight, the trio will perform at New Market, NHs Stone Church.
