The second installment of the Pure Jerry series will hit on September 28. After Midnight presents the Jerry Garcia Band on February 28, 1980 at Kean College in Union, New Jersey. This show was selected in part through the input of fans who raved about the segued passage from ‘After Midnight’ into ‘Eleanor Rigby’ and then back into ‘After Midnight.’ Garcia was joined at this show by John Kahn on bass, Ozzie Ahlers on keys and Johnny De Foncesca on drums, In addition, Robert Hunter appears on vocals for his songs ‘Tiger Rose’ and ‘Promontory Rider.’ Those individuals who preorder from jerrygarcia.com will receive a bonus disc entitled Way after Midnight which offers music from the next two nights, 2/29/80, at Calderone Concert Hall in Hempstead, NY, and 3/1/80, at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, NJ.
