Mountain of Venus vocalist Tanya Shylock joined Perpetual Groove Friday at the Mannerland III festival in Mebane, NC. Shylock stepped in for a version of Paul Simons Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes. (Tanya is no stranger to the music of Simon and has sang many of the songs on the Graceland album with the band Jiggle, which covered the record in its entirety at Berkfest 2000.)
Barefoot Manner – the festival’s namesake – welcomed Shylock during its headlining set for Goin Down the Road Feeling Bad later in evening.
Perpetual Groove plays this Saturday, September 20, at the Seawalk Grassroots Music Festival in Jacksonville Beach, FL. For the full schedule, visit the groups official website.
