New Monsoon and David Gans have been added to the line-up of Jam Cruise II, a music festival at sea set for January 10 14, 2004. The event will take place aboard the Imperial Majesty Regal Empress, which will depart from Ft. Lauderdale, FL and make stops in Nassau, the Bahamas and Key West, FL. Other performers include Galactic, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Les Claypool, The Disco Biscuits, Donna the Buffalo, Yonder Mountain String Band, Rebirth Brass Band, RAQ, Codetalkers featuring Col. Bruce Hampton, Hackensaw Boys, Karl Densons Tiny Universe and Particle.
Jam Cruise is a concept that we have been nurturing for quite some time and we couldnt be more excited to finally execute our ideas, says Josh Moore of Jomo Entertainment, one of the event’s organizers. In many ways, the jamband scene has mastered the art of organizing a festival. So whats next? The bands and fans are waiting to be even more inspired than their last adventure. They want the ultimate musical experience in a magical location. Thats what Jam Cruise offers.
Jam Cruise I is scheduled for January 6 10 and features Galactic, Keller Williams, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, The Disco Biscuits, Peter Rowan’s Reggaeabilly, Billy Nershi (String Cheese
Incident) and Liza, Jerry Joseph, Mofro, Particle, Umphrey’s McGee, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Tishamingo, Ming & FS and DJ Z-Trip. This boat is sold out.
Cabins still remain for Jam Cruise II. Prices range from $500 to $1025 per person, plus port charges, service fees and gratuities. For complete details, surf on over to www.jamcruise.com.
