A long list of guests took the stage with The Big Wu at its New Years shows at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul, MN. On December 31, Little Feat guitarist Paul Barrere joined the group for Shoot the Moon during the first set. All Mighty Senators guitarist Warren Boes then sat in for Wont Get Fooled Again, to close the set. The complete line-up of All Mighty Senators then emerged for Auld Lang Syne, which segued into Earth Wind & Fires Shining Star. AMS returned for the encore, Earache My Eye, from Cheech & Chongs Up In Smoke.
On December 30, Sam Bush performed with the Wu on Take the World by Storm and House of Wu during the first set. Derek Trucks then added guitar to Freddie Kings Come On. The All Mighty Senators horn section took the stage at the beginning of the second set for Blue Suede Shoes and Rock Around the Clock.
Over the two nights, the Big Wu and its fans raised nearly 10 tons of food shelf donations for Second Harvest Heartland. For more information, visit www.thebigwu.com.
