The Grammy Museum has announced an imminent performance by Southern rock troubadours, Little Feat. The one-off live show will take place on Monday, October 27, at the Loreto Theater at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture in New York City, where they will also engage in a conversation about their latest release, Strike Up the Band, and the creative process that led to the set’s creation, and the band’s extensive tenure.

Before the band arrives in the Big Apple, they are scheduled to accompany Tedeschi Trucks Band at select stops, including Friday, October 17’s gig at the Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh, N.C., Saturday, October 18’s follow-up at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, N.C. A very special performance will come on Sunday, October 19, when Little Feat celebrates their new album at the Atlanta Symphony Hall with fellow jam connoisseurs, Donna the Buffalo.

On the other side of their performance with the band best known for “Positive Friction,” Little Feat will continue their support slot for Tedeschi Trucks Band in Richmond, Va., on Tuesday, October 21, and Wednesday, October 22 in Wilmington, N.C. They will play three gigs with the husband-and-wife duo and Strike Up the Band contributors, Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams, in Baltimore, Huntington, N.Y., and Red Bank, N.J.

Notably, Little Feat has been nominated for a Grammy twice, including last year’s ceremony, Best Traditional Blues LP, for Sam’s Place. Their first nomination occurred in 1989, following the release of their eighth studio record, Let It Roll, the band’s initial release after the passing of frontman Lowell George, which received category inclusion in Best Rock Performance By A Duo or Group with Vocal.
