On August 1-3, Dead & Company will perform at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The sold-out event, which celebrates 60 years of the Grateful Dead’s music, will now livestream the final night of entertainment, Sunday, August 3, exclusively at select IMAX theaters in the US and Canada. The chosen format enhances the visual immersion of the impending live performance with sound accuracy, creating a one-of-a-kind fan experience.

Dead & Company’s forthcoming arrival in The Bay will consist of three outdoor concerts at the 57,000-capacity space, beginning with the Friday, August 1 arrival of Billy Strings, fresh off his return from Australia/New Zealand. Night two, Saturday, August 2, will start with a country-fledged performance by Sturgill Simpson, and on the final night, jam stalwart and beloved member of Phish, Trey Anastasio, will fill the final coveted role.

The newly dropped IMAX experience will arrive before the Grateful Dead’s annual Meet Up at the Movies event on August 14, screening the acclaimed Grateful Dead Movie; animations and band footage, drawing on the strength of their 1970s lineup, which featured Jerry Garcia, Bobby Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Donna Godchaux, Keith Godchaux, and Mickey Hart, fresh off their ’70s-era hiatus, at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom in October 1974.

Tickets for the IMAX viewing are on sale now at imax.com/deadandcompany. Each ticket will come with a commemorative poster and a laminate/lanyard, which will be distributed onsite.
