For the 11th year in a row, The Rock and Roll Playhouse will celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl. This year’s festivities will take place on Sunday, March 9, at noon, and once again weave together the music of Phish and the story of Queen Esther.

Phish tribute act Uncle Ebenezer will serve as the show’s house band and Rabbi Daniel Brenner will narrate the Purim story. Parents and kids are encouraged to participate in the festivities, which taps into a carnival-like atmosphere, as the holiday functions as something reminiscent of Jewish Halloween and Mardi Gras. Parents and children are encouraged to come in costume. Uncle Ebenezer will also play a full set of Phish music.

Groggers,  hamantash and a mix of books from PJ Library will also be available.
