Thursday nights moe. performance at Buffalos Lafayette Square also featured a young quartet invited by the band to perform between sets. The Heads are recent high school graduates from nearby Newfane High School, who were arrested for playing a gig atop their school. As a result of their roof-top performance the four musicians were not allowed to participate in their high school graduation ceremony (but have stated that it was a fair trade-off). The Heads offered up four songs last night, closing things out, quite fittingly, with a cover of Neil Youngs Rockin In The Free World. Meanwhile moe. offered a nod to the group with a version of Kids mid-way through their second set.
Tonight, moe. is at the Saranac Brewery in Utica, NY, while The Heads have no immediate gigs (but some likely will follow).
