After a generous pause in festival landscapes, moe. has announced the official return of their once-annual multi-day gathering. For the first time since 2019, moe.down will take place from July 16-18, 2026. The impending event brings the group to a new location, West End Fairgrounds in Gilbert, Pa.
The impending three-day event will embrace the boutique festival experience, with a strict capacity of 3,500 attendees to maintain a sense of community and musical intimacy that helped inform the group’s initial draw. An official lineup announcement and complete schedule will follow in early 2026.
moe.’s initial festival took place in 2000 and soon became a defining annual tradition for the band and their devoted following. Traditionally held in Upstate New York, the ensemble spent nearly two decades engaging in a festival format that included appearances by Bob Weir, The Black Keys, Grace Potter, The Flaming Lips, Levon Helm, Umphrey’s McGee, The Wailers, Cake, and more.
Continuing with established motifs, the hosts will perform multiple sets during the impending event. They will also build on their commitment to supporting the community by spearheading efforts to support charities and promote sustainability, representing local musical talent on the roster, in addition to vendors and volunteers.
For convenience, the new location in Gilbert, Pa., is located 15 miles from Stroudsburg, and under 100 miles from big cities like Philadelphia and New York. “The return of moe.down means as much to the band as it does to our fans,” shared bassist Rob Derhak. “We are all famoe.ly and this is our grand picnic. We all can’t wait to do it again!”
During next summer’s gathering, the group promises specially curated performances, special guest sit-ins, late-night entertainment, and for the first time, a retrospective, dubbed “The Moe.seum,” which looks at the group’s defining 35-year history.
Tickets and camping passes are available now at moe-down.org.
