Umphrey’s McGee keyboardist Joel Cummins and The String Cheese Incident percussionist Jason Hann will come together for a unique show at Venice, CA’s The Venice West on Tuesday, December 9. The West Coast residents have been playing supergroup shows at The Penmar annually, but this December they bring the show indoors for the first time for a special show with multi-instrumentalist Scott Page, who performed with Pink Floyd in the 1980s. Pete Griffin (Zappa Plays Zappa, Dethklok) and Brian Chapman (Zoo People) will round out the combo’s lineup, and the night promises “a set of all Floyd classics plus a set of UM tunes, singalong covers & improvisation.”

Umphrey’s McGee will close 2025 with a pair of three-set shows at Atlanta’s Tabernacle on December 30 and 31. Before then, UM guitarist/singer Brendan Bayliss will play a solo show at Chicago’s Garcia’s on December 4 and host his 23rd annual holiday show with Umphrey’s McGee guitarist Jake Cinninger at Park West in the Windy City on December 13. Umphrey’s McGee percussionist Andy Farag, Cummins and Mike Racky will also appear during the evening, which will benefit the People’s Music School.
