Sublime have announced its plans to host a Sin City musical gathering. The group known for “Santeria” and other pre-aughts success shared that from August 14 through 16, they will host an event at Park MGM dubbed Fear, Loathing, and Sublime in Las Vegas.
The three-day occasion is billed to feature a welcome party on Thursday, August 15, which doubles as the first opportunity to see one of three performances by the host band, who have signed on to appear at the initial gathering along with KROQ’s Miles the DJ. Sublime also promises main stage gigs on Friday, August 15 and 16, at Dolby Live.
Sublime plans to welcome punk and alt-rock stalwarts, including Pennywise, The Vandals, The Ataris, Long Beach Dub Allstars, and Jesse James Pariah & Zayno, who will add to the overall experience by offering their own live performances.
The event will feature acoustic sessions that allow attendees to experience a more stripped-down sound. For fans and Sublime enthusiasts, one-of-a-kind memorabilia will be on view, providing a chance to get up close and personal with items of significance.
Sublime’s longtime drummer Bud Gaugh commented via the band’s press release, “This Vegas takeover is going to be nuts!!! I mean Sublime and Pennywise, punk shows at the Punk Rock Museum, parties every night, it’s going to be everything Sublime for this weekend, you won’t wanna miss out on this one!”
