The 92nd Street Y has announced its 2025 Midsummer MusicFest on July 24, 27, and 29 at Kaufman Concert Hall in New York. The festival features a lineup that spans some of contemporary folk’s most beloved acts. The forthcoming schedule includes three separately billed performers/ bands during the midsummer offerings.

On the docket, and taking the initial performance slot on Thursday, July 24, are Bonny Light Horseman, consisting of Anaïs Mitchell, Eric D. Johnson (Fruit Bats), and Josh Kaufman, on the heels of their 2024 LP release, Keep Me on Your Mind/See You Free. The schedule continues on Sunday, July 27, with the arrival of the mandolin maven, Sierra Hull. Notably, she just finished her touring cycle on the road with Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Country excursion, where she shared the stage with longtime friend, Billy Strings.

Taking the final slot during the 92nd Street Y’s 2025 Midsummer MusicFest on Tuesday, July 29, is Grammy-decorated singer-songwriter, Shawn Colvin, known for her 1991 Best Contemporary Folk Album accolade, Steady On, and follow-up success on ‘98’s Sunny Came Home.

The 92nd Street Y has dedicated itself to showcasing folk artists worldwide. As folk began to gain traction throughout the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s, the 92nd NY Y quickly became a large forum that connected audiences with up-and-coming and established acts associated with the genre. The 92nd Street Y aimed to enrich the folk genre and continues to do this through Midsummer MusicFest.
