On Saturday, April 20, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country will appear on the music-focused morning television program CBS Saturday Sessions. The appearance will mark the musician and his band’s historic national television debut, which will air at 7 a.m. ET, and 8 a.m. ET on the CBS News app.

Prior to official confirmation of the performance air time, Donato posted a clip to his Instagram that captured him and his band on the iconic Saturday Sessions stage during the filming of the forthcoming televised appearance. While the clip didn’t show much, fans of the group’s Reflector collection can recognize the conjuring of “Lose Your Mind.”

Donato’s Cosmic Country is the latest group to join the ranks with a feature on CBS Saturday Sessions, following fellow scene favorites like recent visitors like the joint pairing of Billy Strings and Chris Thile, Sarah Jarosz, Andrew Bird,  boygenius, and others.

Notably, last weekend, Hurray for the Riff Raff served as the musical guest, pulling material from their newly released LP, The Past Is Still Alive, including “Buffalo,” “Hawkmoon,” and “Albini.” The artist discusses the aforementioned set in Relix’s April/May 2024 issue. Subscribe here
