In a last-minute switch, Tedeschi Trucks Band has been brought in as openers for the Eagle’s impending stops at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on Thursday, November 2, and Saturday, November 4, respectively. Derek and Susan were called upon after Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen called off the appearance as he recovers from an undisclosed illness.

As reported by Jambase, Steely Dan was supposed to act as support during the Eagles’ Long Goodbye Tour, ultimately canceling October appearances after Fagan was hospitalized–and later released. As a result, the band, known for classics like “Hotel California,” “Take It Easy,” and “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” tapped Sherly Crow as their Denver opener, Steve Miller Band in Indianapolis, Detroit and Cleveland.

The official announcement was delivered via email by the venue, in which they shared, “Donald Fagen continues to recuperate, and Steely Dan will not be performing at the two Eagles shows in Atlanta on Thursday, Nov. 2nd and Saturday, Nov. 4th, at State Farm Arena.” It continued, “The Tedeschi Trucks Band is confirmed to play these two nights with the Eagles.”

Tickets remain on sale for the Eagles’ impending Atlanta stand with support from Tedeschi Trucks Band. Currently, Steely Dan is still listed as the openers for the Eagles’ next stops in Charlotte, N.C., and Raleigh, N.C.
