Last night, Angine de Poitrine made their U.S. television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Microtonal guitarist Khn de Poitrine and drummer Klek de Poitrine opted to perform a new song on the program rather one of the tunes from their two existing albums. The composition they performed on Fallon is titled “Zugzegk” (and it’s well worth watching Jimmy’s introduction to hear how that’s pronounced).
Angine de Poitrine was in New York last week for two sold-out dates at Le Poisson Rouge. They will return in November for three gigs at Brooklyn Steel. The Quebec duo’s tour takes them to Washington, D.C. this evening, and then following some additional dates, it’s off to Europe. The pair will resume North American touring in early November.
