moe. have announced plans to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their landmark album Tin Cans and Car Tires with a special two LP Sky Blue vinyl reissue, slated for release on September 8. In acknowledgment of their earlier work, the band will also share live versions of “Stranger Than Fiction,” “Nebraska,” and “Letter Home,” in addition to the original and beloved LP tracks.

The songs above were recorded live at the Vic Theater in Chicago on July 17, 1998, and were initially included on a promotion for Tin Cans and Car Tires, dubbed moe. Sells Out and will make its vinyl debut on the impending drop. The newly unveiled live cuts will be coupled alongside original tunes from the Tin Cans and Car Tires tracking list, such as  “Queen of the Rodeo,” initially introduced in their 1995 rock opera Timmy.

In addition to tunes such as “Big World,” “Head,” and others, the album holds a unique place in the band’s discography and remains part of the group’s fan-favorite selections during live shows. Notably, the 1998 delivery also marked the recording debut of drummer Vinnie Amico, making it a pivotal moment in the band’s history.

To kick off the vinyl pre-order, the band will give away a test pressing of the Tin Cans and Car Tires reissue. To enter for your chance to win, click here.
