Last night, May 13, Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros participated in the 8th annual Acoustic-4-A-Cure Benefit Concert at The Fillmore in San Francisco. The ensemble delivered six choice numbers during the event, with a sit-in by Sammy Hagar, who assisted on the final trio of songs, featuring a cover of “In the Midnight Hour,” a bust out for Weir and the Wolf Bros.

The Saturday night set commenced with a delivery of the Bobby & The Midnites’ tune, “Josephine,” which melded into a partial “The Other One.” The musicians added a fragmented “Dark Star” from the depths of a bouncy instrumental jam before returning to “Josephine.” Next, Hagar arrived on stage and assisted with the night’s rendition of “One More Saturday Night.”

To follow the fan favorite, the group covered Wilson Pickett’s classic “In the Midnight Hour.” Weir and his Wolf Bros collaborators last performed the 1965 released number on Oct. 19, 2018, in Los Angeles. After the night’s bust out, Weir, Hagar, and the rest of the night’s guests, including Joan Baez, Nancy Wilson, Michael Anthony, Chris Isaak and others, landed on the final song of the frame, a lively “Loose Lucy.”

Also, during the benefit concert, Weir joined Wilson, Anthony, and Hagar for a delivery of Heart’s “Even It Up.” In addition, Weir and Don Was also helped out Isaak during “Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing.” The collaborative affair also brought longtime pals Baez and Weir together for a cover of the Bob Dylan original “Seven Curses.”
