On Saturday night, Widespread Panic brought out Daniel Donato during the night’s encore at Credit One Stadium in Charleston, S.C. The guitarist opened up the night with his Cosmic Country counterparts before the main act arrived and ripped into two sets of music that touched on various albums from across their vast discography.

Following Donato’s opening frame, Widespread Panic took their positions on the stadium stage. The Georgia rockers started the night on “Bust It Big” before migrating into “Wondering” off their Everyday album. In continuation of the first set, the ensemble combined “Little Lilly” with “Rock” before a pairing of “Tackle Box Hero” and “I’m Not Alone.” The initial frame turned out “Halloween Face” and “One Arm Steve” before closing on “Action Man.”

After a break from the stage, Widespread Panic returned for the second half of their final Holy City stand. “Holden Oversoul” heated up the night prior to the band’s take on “Good People.” The aforementioned song bled into “Dark Bar” and returned to “Good People” before starting anew with a cover of Murray McLauchlan’s “Honky Red.” 

“Ain’t Life Grand” saw John Bell on mandolin and further exemplified the tone felt by the audience during the two-night affair in Charleston, S.C. “Party at Your Mama’s House” arrived before the band’s take on “Ribs and Whiskey.” Then, after a pause, the music picked up with “Pilgrims” into “Greta” and “Fishwater” to cap the second main frame. 

Continuing a trend they began on Friday night, Widespread Panic brought out the evening’s opener to assist during their encore. Donato stepped on stage and helped his hosts with a take on “Surprise Valley.” After the ‘Till the Medicine Takes original, the group of players landed on a fiery cover of the Talking Head’s favorite, “Life During Wartime.” Watch a fan-shot video from Saturday’s encore below.
