Iconic bassist George Porter Jr. has announced a special show in celebration of his 75th birthday on Dec. 26. For the jubilee George Porter Jr. & The Runnin’ Pardners will play at The Fillmore in New Orleans and be joined by a variety of special guests. 

The Meters co-founder will be joined by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, who are set to open the night before Porter, and his band takes the stage alongside PBS, Oteil Burbridge, Cyril Neville, Ivan Neville, Anderson Osborne, Steve Kimock, Tony Hall, and Ian Neville.

The star-studded night will also feature special guests Johnny Vidacovich, Susan Cowsill, John Gros, Papa Mali, Keiko Komaki, Erica Falls, Mark Mullins, June Yamagishi, Mia Borders, and Leslie Smith.
