Last night, Dave Matthews Band performed at the Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center in Noblesville, Ind., as part of their ongoing summer tour. Unfortunately, the show was missing Tim Reynolds, who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier that day, and his absence marked the first Dave Matthews Band show he’s missed since 2008.

During the single set performance, Dave Matthews Band were joined by exceptional guests: New Orleans’ Preservation Hall Jazz Band on select songs. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band are currently on the road with n American singer, songwriter, musician and record producer Josh Groben.

Dave Matthews Band kicked off the performance with “Pig,” “Granny,” “Walk Around the Moon,” and “Break Free.” After the intro tracks, the members of The Preservation Hall Jazz Band–Ben Jaffe, Branden Lewis, Clint Maedgen, and Revon Andrews–joined to fill out the ensemble of “Jimi Thing.” They continued to lend their skillful hands-on “That Girl Is You” and “What Would You Say” before leaving Dave Matthews Band (sans Reynolds) to carry on.

DMB continued the set with “Grey Street,” “Grace is Gone” before moving through “Tripping Billies” and “You & Me,” which included a “Hope For Tomorrow” intro. Next came fan favorites, “Dancing Nancies,” “Warehouse,” and “Where Are You Going.” Next, Matthews led the band through the darker “She” and “Lie in Our Graves” before the Preservation Hall Jazz Band joined them to close out the set with “Can’t Stop” and “Ants Marching.”

Dave Matthews Band will play at the Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center again tonight.
