The Disco Biscuits performed during the mini-one day festival Brooklyn Comes Alive at the Brooklyn Mirage in Brooklyn, N.Y., simultaneously closing out the weekend and starting the fall season. It was the first time the event has happened in three years.

Brooklyn Comes Alive featured performances by the Disco Biscuits, Joe Russo, John Medeski, the Dave Harrington trio, the Break Science Live Band, The Motet, Karina Rykman and more.

The event wrote on their Twitter page, “What an amazing, special day we had with so many of our favorite musicians + all of our friends at @BrooklynMirage. After three long years, we finally came alive again, and it was all thanks to you!”

The Disco Biscuits opened their first set with “Helicopters” and continued to jam into “Running Into the Night.” The band got really into it during a cover of Blondie’s 1981 track “Rapture,” on which they were joined by Turkuaz singer Shira Elias. They closed their first set with “42.”

They opened their second set with “Pilin’ it High” into an “I-Man” > “M1” > “I-Man” sandwich. They then played “Evolve” and closed with “Helicopters” effectively bookending the two sets.
