According to a social media post by percussionist Jason Hann, The String Cheese Incident have spent the last few days collaborating with acclaimed producer Steve Jordan.
Jordan’s pedigree includes drumming for the likes of Eric Clapton, Angélique Kidjo and Bruce Springsteen as well as producing for John Mayer, Rod Stewart, John Scofiled and Los Lonely Boys.
There’s no word whether this SCI/Jordan crossover is an album or tour rehearsals, but Hann says the group spent their time “Gettin under the hood and going through grooves and arrangements.”
Hann added, “[Jordan is] incredible and it’s the perfect tune up for such a long time not playing together.”
SCI released their last studio album Believe in 2017.
