Guitarist Jake Cinninger of Umphrey’s McGee recently gave fans a glimpse into his creative process, spending a few hours in Niles, Mich.’s Boondock Studio and spontaneously creating a brand new track.
“On April 23rd 2021, Jake Cinninger of Umphrey’s McGee constructed a new original song in real-time via livestream,” reads an official description. “Layering track upon track, he pulled back the creative curtain while narrating his thought process until a finished creation took shape. NFTs to commemorate the event feature the song created during the livestream, a digital poster by Justin Helton, and 3D animated editions with unreleased original music.”
