Guitarist John Frusciante will drop a his 11th solo album Maya on Oct. 23.

To stoke excitement for the release, he has shared a new, synth-laden drum-and-bass single/music video dubbed “Brand E.”

Previously, Frusciante shared the Maya single “Amethblowl” and explained that the LP was inspired – in part – by his late pet cat.

“Maya was with me as I made music for 15 years, so I wanted to name it after her,” he said in an official statement. “She loved music.”

To the relief of many fans, Frusciante rejoined the ranks of the Red Hot Chili Peppers last year.
