Jason Isbell’s ShoalsFest has confirmed its 2026 artist lineup. Returning to Florence, Ala.’s McFarland Park on Oct. 3 and 4, the Americana forerunner’s hometown get-together will celebrate its fifth annual presentation with two headline sets from Isbell and the 400 Unit and some of the host’s acclaimed peers, including a reunion between Drive By Truckers and Isbell for their first public performance together in 19 years.
Isbell was a full-time member of Drive-By Truckers from 2001-2007, first joining fellow Shoals-region guitarists and songwriters Patterson Hood and Mike Colley in the Southern-rock outfit for 2003’s Decoration Day. The band’s breakthrough fourth album matched their heavy, deep-rooted slant on alt-country by reimagining their regional mythology; through stark stories of desire and deceit, they crystallized a style that would fray the genre’s edges for decades to come. To continue that celebration of that record’s legacy that began last year with The Definitive Decoration Day and a collaborative performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Isbell and Drive-By Truckers will perform the album’s complete tracklist for their first full show together since they parted ways.
ShoalsFest will also feature performances from Jeff Tweedy, S.G. Goodman, Willow Avalon and Steve Trash. Find tickets and more information at shoalsfest.net.
