Newport Folk Festival is still slowly unveiling the artist lineup for its 67th annual presentation, and the past few weeks of rolling additions have brought more celebrated acts representing a wide range of genres. The latest additions to the legendary festival, returning to its longtime home of Newport, R.I.’s Fort Adams State Park from July 24-26, include longtime staples, first-timers, stadium-grade acts and emergent talents.

The most familiar new entrants to Newport Folk Festival’s 2026 program are those of Rhode Island’s own pioneering alt-Americana outfit Deer Tick, whose Friday performance with “Friends” will be their fifth set at the festival since 2009 and align with the release of their ninth studio album, Coin-O-Matic. Other artists building up legacies at the event include Lucy Dacus and Courtney Marie Andrews, who have both performed at the festival three times since 2019 and will continue celebrating their acclaimed albums Forever is a Feeling and Valentine. The Lumineers will return after their first and only Newport Folk performance in 2012, building on momentum from their Automatic World Tour last year.

Vulfpeck may well be the most notable first-time performers at this year’s festival, especially as the esteemed funk ensemble was previously announced as a headliner for Newport Jazz Festival on the following weekend. Vulfpeck’s guitarist Cory Wong and bassist Joe Dart will perform on the same day with The Fealess Flyers, also featuring Snarky Puppy’s Mark Lettieri and Newport Jazz Festival Artistic Director Nate Smith. Other newcomers include Brandon Flowers and Tiny Habits.

Previously confirmed performers for the 2026 festival include Tedeschi Trucks Band, Brandi Carlile, This Is Lorelei, CMAT, Lauryn Hill, Hayley Williams & Friends, Wednesday, Dawes, Punch Brothers, Courtney Barnett, Cat Power, Lizzy McAlpine, Yasmin Williams & William Tyler, Searows, Dove Ellis, Fruit Bats, Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band, Hudson Freeman, Tim Bernardes, Brittany Davis & Black Thunder, Infinity Song, The Barr Brothers, Haley Heynderickx and Max Garcia Conover, Medium Build, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings’ Grateful Dead Acoustic Reckoning and an all-star bluegrass collective of Peter Rowan & Sam Grisman Project, Sierra Hull and Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams.
