Glastonbury, set for June 24-28 in Pilton, Somerset, England, has announced its full lineup. The festival is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary this year, and it will be headlined by Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar, Diana Ross and Taylor Swift.
Other lineup highlights include Khruangbin, Thundercat, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Brittany Howard, Kacey Musgraves, Snarky Puppy, Thom Yorke: Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes and many more.
The announcement comes amid widespread event cancellations due to coronavirus. Considering Glastonbury’s June start date, it is unclear whether large gatherings will be running normally at that time.
Festival organizer Emily Eavis addressed the timing of Glastonbury’s lineup release in a statement on Instagram, along with an image of the lineup.
“After much consideration given the current circumstances, and with the best of intentions, here is the first list of musical acts for Glastonbury 2020,” she wrote. “As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary Festival in June and we are very proud of the bill that we have put together over the last year or so.”
“No one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will all be 15 weeks from now, but we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show on Earth,” she concluded.
Eavis also stated that more artists would be released in the coming weeks, and a full lineup would drop in May. Read her full statement below.
