After coming down with the flu and missing two shows with Trey Anastasio Band, percussionist Cyro Baptista will return to the stage on Jan. 28 in San Antonio, Texas.

As previously reported, the worst of Baptista’s symptoms arrived in Austin, Texas. After a Jan. 24 T.A.B. show in the city, he was hospitalized.

“I went through some rough moments the past 4 days with a terrible flu (not Chinese) and ended up missing 2 concerts, what made me feel even worse,” Baptista said in a statement, referring to the deadly coronavirus in China, among other places.

Baptista was absent for the band’s Jan. 25 gig in Houston and their Jan. 26 show in Dallas.

“I’m eternally grateful to Trey Anastasio for his compassion and understanding & my beloved bandmates Jennifer Hartswick, Russ Lawton, Tony Markellis, Natalie Cressman, Ray Paczkowski, James Casey,” Baptista added.
