After teasing a reunion with social media posts, news broke in the early morning hours of Nov. 9 that The Black Crowes will tour this summer with a full recreation of their 1990 debut album Shake Your Money Maker.

Initial tour dates were revealed via electronic billboards in New York City, advertising a July 17 show at New Jersey’s PNC Bank Arts Center as well as a July 18 gig at New York’s Jones Beach Theater.

The shows are set to include the full Shake Your Money Maker tracklist “plus all the hits.”

This reunion marks the first Crowes shows in over four years. The band first formed in the mid-’80s by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson. They gained popularity in the ’90s with Shake Your Money Maker, and the follow-up, The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, before breaking up in 2002. They reconvened in in 2005, the group released two more albums before again calling it quits in 2015.

This story is still developing…
