Grahame Lesh & Friends just wrapped up a series of dates that saw the band travel to Washington DC and then the Midwest. During the group’s two sold out performances at Garcia’s in Chicago on August 9, Grahame and bandmate Justin Mazer each took a turn playing Jerry Garcia’s Travis Bean TB500 11 guitar.
Looking ahead to the end of the year, the group will offer another special performance that nods to the Grateful Dead. On January 2 and 3, 2005 Bob Weir performed at the The Parker Theater in Fort Lauderdale. This came on the heels of a four night run at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in the same city, during which the group expanded its roster with the addition of The Wolfpack.
On December 30 and 31 Grahame Lesh & Friends will make their way to Fort Lauderdale and appear at The Parker Theater with The Wolfpack.
As Lesh himself writes, “My classic GLAF crew of Adam Minkoff, Damian Calcagne, Justin Mazer, & Nathan Graham will be joined by Kanika Moore and the Wolfpack. The Wolfpack – Adam Theis, Alex Kelly, Brian Switzer, Mads Tolling, and Sheldon Brown – have some experience at the Parker performing with Bobby & the Wolf Bros, so I’m so thrilled to be able to join forces with this amazing crew and put on an epic 2 night celebration of the New Year to come.”
Tickets for the shows are now on sale.
