The Marcus King Band have announced they will be welcoming a new keyboardist, Simon Thomas George, into their band following the departure of DeShawn “D Vibes” Alexander.

The band has recently filled Alexander’s slot with Peter Levin and Sean Johnson and are now joined by George, an Asheville, NC-based musician that has collaborated with MKB in the past. Watch a video clip, shared with the band’s announcement, of King and George trading licks during a performance.

Next up for The Marcus King Band is a show with Chris Stapleton in Omaha, NE, this Friday, July 19. King himself will also join Soulive at night four of Bowlive VIII at Brooklyn Bowl tomorrow night, July 18. Check out MKB’s full schedule here.
