The Marcus King Band is bidding farewell to keyboardist DeShawn “DVibes” Alexander.
According to an official statement, Alexander – who logged his first gig with the MKB at the 2017 LOCKN’ festival – will set off to “work on other musical endeavors.”
The keyboardist was sure to mention that “the past couple years have been awesome,” and thanks his soon-to-be former bandmates as well as their fans.
No word yet on who, if anyone, will be replacing Alexander on keys. In the statement he mentions that he will perform with the band through early July.

June 28, 2019 at 7:43 pmSo many trolls here. MKB was a fine band before DVibes, and will be a fine band without. DVibes was great and will recruit another fine keyboardist. Best to DVibes.

June 28, 2019 at 1:42 pmWrong. Reese Wynans is fantastic with Joe Bonamassa, a guitarist who plays 40,000 notes every night. EVERYBODY with ears cares about him. Next time comment about something you actually know about.

June 28, 2019 at 6:13 pmNice shout-out to Reese! I was (still am) a HUGE SRV fan and Reese added such texture to Stevie’s tones 🙂

June 28, 2019 at 1:54 pmI care!
DVibes brings the groovy vibes and has a contagious smile and spirit. The first time I saw the band years ago, he was the one who stuck out to me during the show. Best of luck to you, D. Much love.

July 8, 2019 at 10:45 amCorrect… 2 years ago. I can see where “years ago” could sound like further in the past, but that is besides the point of my comment.
