On Monday night, Steely Dan jammed with longtime friend and collaborator Steve Winwood as well as guitarist Elliot Randall for the second-to last gig of their British/Irish tour.

After the band explored an instrumental cover “Cubano Chant” to open the show, Donald Fagen took the stage at Wembley Arena and led the Steely Dan band through fan favorites like “Bodhisattva” and “Hey Nineteen.”

Later, Winwood – who opened the show with his own band – sat in for “Pretzel Logic,” providing vocals and organ on the tune (the same arrangement was used for Winwood’s 2011 sit-in on the same song).

Following Winwood’s one-off appearance, Fagen and company ran through choice tunes like “Aja” as well as back-to-back offerings of “Kid Charlemagne,” “Dirty Work,” “Peg” and “Babylon Sisters.”

The band closed their single, 16-song set with “My Old School,” but saved one last surprise for the encore.

Randall – who contributed guitar to at least three different Steely Dan LPs – tore into his famous “Reelin’ in the Years” guitar solo and stuck around for a final cover of Joe Williams’ “A Man Ain’t Supposed to Cry.”
