Tedeschi Trucks Band continued their early 2019 winter tour dates on Wednesday night in Chattanooga, TN, playing a show at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium that wrapped up with a fiery sit in from members of opening act Marcus King Band, including the frontman himself.

Before the show, which continued to see TTB teaming up with bassist Brandon Boone following the departure of Tim Lefebvre, the band posted on their social media that they would be offering free tickets to the performance to local workers currently furloughed by the federal government shutdown.

After a set that featured some TTB originals and staple covers like Elmore James’ “The Sky Is Cryin'” and Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright,” last night’s encore began with Susan Tedeschi welcoming out Marcus King and a few of his bandmates—keyboardist DeShawn “D-Vibes” Alexander and the MKB horn section of saxophonist Dean Mitchell and trumpeter Justin Johnson—to help out on a cover of Joe Tex’s “Show Me,” with several of the musicians on stage trading vocals and ripping solos throughout.

See the full setlist and watch a fan-shot video of the encore collaboration below. Next up for Tedeschi Trucks Band is a two-night run at the Chicago Theatre starting tomorrow night. See the band’s full schedule here.
