While Dopapod has been enjoying a planned, yearlong hiatus, guitarist Rob Compa has periodically popped up around the jam scene, playing with Pink Talking Fish, rejoining bandmate Eli Winderman at Brooklyn Comes Alive and more.

On Dec. 13, Compa dropped a surprise cover on his YouTube channel, offering a solo version of Phish’s Rift cut “Horn.”

“I’ve always considered this song to be one of Phish’s most underrated masterpieces,” he wrote.
