In anticipation of Phish kicking off their fall tour dates later this month, bassist Mike Gordon is looking back on the band’s summer tour and today released a selection of his favorite live performances from the run.
“I had journaled about some favorite Phish jams this summer and after re-listening I ended up with these six songs as faves,” Gordon writes on his Twitter. “A feeling of effortless musical adventuring.”
“Mike’s Summer 2018 Faves” playlist, which can be heard via the LivePhish app, includes two cuts from Phish’s early tour West Coast run—”Split Open and Melt” from 7/22 at the Gorge in George, WA, and “Carini” from 7/24 at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium—along with four selections from the band’s three-night stint at Alpharetta, GA’s Verizon Amphitheatre, “Ghost” and “Blaze On” from 8/3, “Wolfman’s Brother” from 8/4, and “Golden Age” from 8/5.
Check out the playlist here. Phish will kick off their fall tour on October 16 with the first of two nights at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY.
