Karina Rykman and her band will make their national television debut on CBS Saturday Morning this weekend. The program airs from 7-9 am ET. Though this is Rykman’s first time performing with her own group on a network television program, she has joined the house band on Late Night with Seth Meyers several times over the years.

Rykman is currently supporting her forthcoming sophomore album, Late Checkout, which is slated for release tomorrow. Last night, she celebrated the LP by becoming the first act to perform at the popular Upper West Side New York grocery store Zabar’s. Ryman and her combo, with Peter Miller rounding out the lineup on keyboards, crammed into the store for a free evening concert. The quartet offered an improv jam as attendees filtered in and then ran through “Easy, Rider,” “Late Checkout,” “Shoegaze Summer,” “Riverside Drive” and “Spacecase,” some of which she had never played live before. The bassist, who has been going to Zabar’s with her family since she was about a year old, previously worked with the store to create the fruity, jam-filled, tie-dye Babkarina babka.

Rykman will officially celebrate Late Checkout with a headlining show at New York’s Webster Hall tomorrow. Guerilla Toss will open the night.
