Last night, Mt. Joy returned to New York’s Madison Square Garden for their second headlining performance at the famed venue. Their first gig in the revered space since 2024, the evening celebrated their 10th anniversary and featured a number of special guests and creative covers.

A few songs into the night, the Philadelphia-bred act included a snippet of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ “Mary Jane’s Last Dance” during their own “Let Loose,” and soon after, they invited out friend Gigi Perez for “In the Middle,” the same number the singer sat in with Mt. Joy for at Gov Ball in 2025. From there, after some more originals, they debuted their take on Frank Ocean’s “Pink + White” and, following “Younger Days,” the ensemble went into some of Harry Styles’ “As It Was.” That cover was particularly timely since the pop singer is currently in the middle of a 30-night run at MSG. On the heels of their tune “Witness,” Mt. Joy offered their eponymous number, weaving in the Grateful Dead’s “Fire on the Mountain” along the way, and “Highway Queen,” before Caamp’s Taylor Meier emerged for a take on Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?”

Finally, near the end of the set, fellow Philly act SNACKTIME took the stage to add some brass might to “Pink Lady,” “Lucy” and a version of “Julia” that included some of The Flaming Lips’ “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots” and Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy.” Just before their encore, Mt. Joy also invited Perez back out and asked SNACKTIME to remain on stage for “Silver Lining.”
