Dave Butler, the multi-instrumentalist currently serving as touring member of Guster, has put together a special 50^th anniversary tribute to The Band’s famed performance captured as The Last Waltz. The show will take place at Hopewell, NJ’s Hopewell Valley Stage on Saturday, November 7, boasting an eight-piece band, full horn section and multiple guest singers. Confirmed participants include Joe Russo, who has taken part in several The Last Waltz tributes and shared the stage with Levon Helm, as well as RANA’s Matt Trowbridge, Jon LaDeau, Justin Mazer, Scott Colberg, Damian Calcagne, Jon Thompson, Jesse Neuman, Sonya Cotton, Gabe Dominguez, Dana Pontani and Mike Snyder, among others.

Originally intended to be The Band’s final show, the celebratory evening filmed for The Last Waltz was held at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom on November 25, 1976. Bob Dylan, Dr. John, Ronnie Hawkins Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris and Van Morrison are among the acts who joined The Band during the marathon-length concert.
