It looks like Dickey Betts is ready to get back in action after recovering from his medical issues. The guitarist’s manager, David Spero, posted an update yesterday on Betts’ website which read:

Dickey Betts wanted to let all of his fans know that he “greatly appreciates all your thoughts and prayers” while he went through his medical problems. He also said “and equally important, thanks for your patience and understanding. I’m getting stronger everyday and the doctor said I’ll be ready and able to start on the road again come June.” We will have some additional dates within the next weeks.

As previously reported, Betts has already confirmed a few performances with Great Southern as part of the Rock The Blues Summer Jam touring shows. Betts and his band will be joined by The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Beverly McClellan on the tour, which is currently scheduled to swing through The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY and The Paramount in Huntington, NY on July 26 and 27, respectively. Betts has also scheduled a four-show run that will take him to Plymouth, NH on June 7, Strasbourg, PA on June 8 and New York, NY on June 9 and 10.
