The Mickey Hart Band will unveil their new line up at San Francisco, CA’s Fillmore this Saturday, June 30. Singer/multi instrumentalist Joe Bagale will join the band’s lineup, sharing vocal duties with current member Crystal Monee Hall. In addition to Hall and Hart, the group also features Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools, Grammy winning percussionist and Hart’s longtime band mate Sikiru Adepoju, drummer Ian “Inx” Herman, guitarist Gawain Matthews, and keyboardist/producer Ben Yonas. Originally from Rochester, NY, Bagale has been performing with the San Francisco’s Jazz Mafia collective for the past five years.
Tim Hockenberry, who played with the group for much of the year, is leaving the band to compete on America’s Got Talent.
Jazz Mafia collective members Adam Theis and SUBHARMONIC will open the show. The performance will mark the band’s official debut.
