When MOFRO started, the group was a partnership between JJ Grey and Daryl Hance. The project’s focus and sound shifted over the years, and the band changed its name to JJ Grey & Mofro around 2007. Hance has been on hiatus from Mofro since 2010 while touring behind his own album. The old friends will share the stage once again in early 2012 when Hance hits the road as an opener for JJ Grey & Mofro. One can only assume that they will share the stage during the run for a few songs as well. Hance will perform at Lexington, KY’s Cosmic Charlie’s tomorrow.

Hance will open for Grey on the following dates

January 12 Memphis, TN—Hi-Tone Cafe
January 13 St. Louis, MO—Pageant
