Shortly after announcing the end of the “Road Trips” series, Dead.net has officially confirmed another Grateful Dead archival series. Named after current Dead archivist Dave Lemieux and a clear reference to the “Road Trips” predecessor “Dick’s Picks,” “Dave’s Picks” will include “some of the finest unreleased shows from the vaults, mastered to HDCD specs and packaged with rare photos and insightful liner notes.” Dead.net plans to release four “Dave’s Picks” CD releases in 2012, beginning with the Dead’s May 25, 1977 show at Richmond, VA’s The Mosque. All four 2012 “Dave’s Picks” releases will be limited to 12,000 individually numbered copies. A special subscription package for all four 2012 Dave’s Picks releases is now available online.
