Fever Train by Vernon Webb

The Meters Experience” featuring Leo Nocentelli headlined Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl this past Friday. In addition to the Meters guitarist, this incarnation of the band featured Meters drummer Russell Batiste, as well as bassist Bill Dickens (Janet Jackson), and keyboardist George Laks (Lenny Kravitz). Connecticut’s Fever Train opened the show and brought out Batiste for a 25-minute stretch of music near the end of its set. Batiste played keyboards on the Fever Train originals “Cold Dreamer,” “Find the Break” and “Guiga.” Fever Train will perform at Newmarket, NH’s Stone Church this Friday.
