Dumpstaphunk has traveled from New Orleans to the Northeast for a pair of shows this weekend. Tonight the band is at Brooklyns Prospect Park Bandshell as part of the Celebrate Brooklyn Festival and then is off to Acme, PAs The Church of Universal Love & Music for Funk Fest for a Saturday performance. Later in August the group will hit the West Coast for a series of shows with Eric Krasno & Chapter 2. The two groups have confirmed five California dates: August 12 in San Diego (House of Blues), August 13 in West Hollywood (Key Club), August 14 in Santa Cruz (Moe’s Alley), the 15th at the Fillmore in San Francisco and on August 16 at the Brews, Jazz & Funk Fest in Squaw Valley. Dumpstaphunk also will play some solo shows en route, with the full details at the groups website.
