After a year off, the annual Jam in the Dam destination event will return in 2010. The festivals 2009 incarnation was called off while festival founder Armand Sadlier recovered from a double-lung transplant. The fifth Jam in the Dam will once again take place at Amsterdams two room venue The Melkweg from March 21-23. Umphreys McGee, Les Claypool, Yonder Mountain String Band, the New Mastersounds and The Bridge are all slated to perform one extended set each night of the festival. In addition, Umphreys Brendan Bayliss and Yonders Jeff Austin will offer a bonus set as an acoustic duo. The festival is billed as Claypools first trip to Europe without Primus. Travel packages are currently available through Consider It Dan.
