The 3rd Annual Treasure Island Music Festival will return to the San Francisco Bay on October 17 and 18. Treasure Island was created for the Golden Gate International Exposition in 1939, which celebrated both the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge which had been built in the prior years. The festival pledges two stages and no overlapping sets with ‘an electronic and dance centric lineup’ on Saturday and ‘an indie rock lineup’ on Sunday. Saturday’s show will include: MGMT, MSTRKRFT, Girl Talk, Brazilian Girls, The Streets and Passion Pit. The Sunday will feature: The Flaming Lips, Yo La Tengo, The Decemberists, Beirut, Grizzly Bear, The Walkmen and Bob Mould. A limited number of $99.99 two Day tickets and VIP tickets will go on sale tomorrow at noon PST.
