Two former New Groove of the Month bands will share the stage at Philadelphias World Cafive this evening. Philadelphias The Brakes and Baltimores The Bridge have crossed paths on the road over the years and both groups released their latest album on the independent record label Hyena Records. According to the label, The Brakes and The Bridge embrace the spirit of vintage late ’60s and early ’70s rock with salient songwriting that’s at once refreshing in its lack of irony and striking in its abundance of audacious ideas. The Bridge will play at 9 PM and The Brakes are slated to appear at 10:30 PM.
